“Kleine, aber vollkommen ausreichende Unterkunft für ein paar Tage. Das Frühstück musste am Vortag bestellt werden und wurde dann morgens pünktlich frisch zubereitet, super Auswahl mit English Breakfast, Porridge, etc.”

“We booked a cosy double but requested a refurbished room. When we arrived they took us up to room 19 it was completely bare no lamps, ornaments, curtains or anything on the walls no soft furnishings and very dowdy and old fashioned it looked like a very run down b and b room and no towels it was empty apart from a bed with sheets on and a kettle with tea coffee etc. It looked like they had emptied it and not being used. I went down stairs and asked if that was a refurbished room and was told no……

“We stayed for 2 nights in the family room which had a lovely comfortable king size bed, ensuite with large walk in shower and air con which was a God send. Very clean and quiet. The staff are lovely, food and drinks reasonably priced, breakfast choices good. The beer garden needs some attention but is secure if you have children or a dog. Steep stairs to the rooms which were a bit difficult with our elderly dog but over all a great stay. Please note, although very dog friendly they do charge……

“Good quiet location on the edge of Bridgwater looking out onto fields. Busy pub mid-week in April when we were there with people sitting out enjoying the weather. Good dinner and breakfast.”

“Lovely room and clean, but windows are old sash windows and we felt uneasy opening them in the hot weather. The room had fans provided. The staff were really friendly and went above and beyond to help, especially leon the dep manager. The bar was nice and plenty of places to sit. The evening meal was really nice slso. Very enjoyable stay, snd would stay again.”

“Lovely staff and a comfy bed saved this property from a less favorable review. It feels like a converted hospital where the interior designer ran out of money. But, it is LITERALLY opposite the station if you need to catch a train. And they have gorgeous looking cannoli. Good in a pinch.”
