“We had a lovely short stay at Macbeth’s Hillock. The cottage was clean, cosy and comfortable, with everything we needed. We mainly stayed there overnight while travelling, but I also cooked dinner there, which worked very well. The location is peaceful, close to local sights, and right next to a farm with beautiful sheep, which made the stay feel even more charming. A very pleasant place for our short stay.”

“I checked in about 7:00pm and my Booked room had been given to another guest. I was given the “last” room - a twin with basin in the room (tells you how outdated it was). Website also clearly states bar is open till 12 for guests. By the time I picked my partner up from Inverness airport and got back to hotel about 11:20pm (both looking forward to a “refreshment” after her delayed flight) everything was closed down for the night. “This bed and breakfast is an absolute hidden gem. The room was beautifully presented with cute armchairs, good storage and comfortable beds. Helen was amazing - she provided tea and coffee in the room, her breakfast was absolutely divine and extremely well organised, and the location was within walking distance to the beach and the main town.
