We very much liked this hotel. Upgraded from the standard room which was small. Very central, could walk to times square, Empire State Building and Rockerfellow building very easily. Grand Central Station literally just around the corner. We took the hop on off bus to travel around and the stops to pick it up were very close to hotel. We even walked from Central Park to hotel....an enjoyable long walk. All in all would stay at this hotel again....very nice.

Nice and clean hotel at perfect location. The lobby of the hotel is VERY dark and there are no fridges or microwaves in the rooms, which is inconvenient.
The shower is quite difficult to get a hand off. Overall, good for the amount paid.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel was close to great dining, bakeries and the theater we were attending. The heater was a bit of a problem but everything else was great. I love the fact that a lot of international people stay there. It is a chance to talk with other nationalities.

Great location, quiet rooms, very clean. As I expected for Manhattan, it was a slightly cramped room. Check-in took me nearly 45 minutes in line because I arrived right after a big group. Long process. They "upgraded me" to a "better room". I had booked a queen bed room for just myself, but they gave it away and pretended a 2 bed twin bed room with a "city view" was better. But they comped the additional $30 resort fee for wifi, gym, business centre etc. so I wasn't concerned. It was just fine for myself, but was surprised they thought it was an upgrade... Overall this hotel was in a great spot, with good clean rooms and nice friendly staff.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sofitel. The room was lovely and both the room and bath were immaculate. We were very close to the theaters, and could easily walk to the various plays we saw. We enjoyed several room service meals, and found all of the staff to be very helpful. This was one of quietest and darkest rooms for sleeping that we have stayed in, and we would definitely return to the Sofitel on our next trip.

The staff and hotel was amazing, a little expensive but worth it. Our breakfast was about 100$ however everything else ways included. They gave us clothes and shoes for the gym and an amazing view of the city. Room service was spectacular and the front desk was very helpful and nice. Would most definitely come again. Really close to all the main stores and across from the Cathedral.
