Property has freshly updated decor, but is an older structure. There were several families with young kids staying there, and the sound insulation between walls and floors is relatively poor. Facilities good, but noisy.

Pet friendly but charge $50 per night, which seems silly. Older cottages, common in Carmel, but some of the furniture in the rooms need updating- stains on rugs, tears on fabrics. Tree sap on outdoor chairs. Biggest issue is that in a room for 4 people - 2 get a converted leather couch that flattens to a full, not a queen but a full-size. And then there's nowhere to put your suitcases. Staff only offered a room upgrade for second night, but we were settled and unpacked and leaving the next day so that wasn't a good solution. They didn't offer any other solutions.

I knew the property wasn’t going to have any luxuries or be fancy. But the place can really improve on the cleaning. Besides having mismatching old furniture, the room wasn’t really clean. Bathroom had stains from a previous leak.
