Location, location, location! The Riu is perfectly situation in close proximity to the Wharf and a whole host of shops, restaurants and bars. This is the hotel’s biggest plus. Inside, the lobby is pretty and inviting. Staff are nice. Breakfast (included) is hearty, with eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, yogurt, pastries and more. It’s on the level of all-inclusive resorts and very nice to have. Downsides: Rooms are just OK. Beds are comfortable. Bathrooms are TINY. Walls (and ceilings) are thin, with noise coming from neighbors and floors above. A fan app on our phone helped drown it out a bit. This is not a quiet hotel. The room HVAC was a little tricky but sufficient. I would go back in the future, but probably ask for a higher floor (we were on the second) to minimize noise.

The rooms were well decorated, very clean, & great for a short 1 night stay. The complementary breakfast though? Tasted completely processed. The breads & the hard boiled egg were chewy like plastic. The orange juice tasted extremely watered down. Hospital food tastes better.
