“We booked this cabin during a trip to Chippewa to visit family in the area. While the place was small, it was perfect for my husband and I, and our Australian Shepherd. The view from the couch looked directly onto the lake, and the location was easy to find. There was one central AC unit, but it kept the place cool. “This was advertised as "rustic" but was actually beyond rough. Dirty and in disrepair. Unsafe and unsanitary. Missing smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector. Dust and grime built up in the vents and windowsills. Black mold on the walls and ceilings. Messaged with the host ahead of time and was mislead on the state of this accomodation. Found it was totally uninhabitable. Took photos and reported to VRBO and was fully refunded by the platform based on those pics alone. ”
