We had a little confusing in the check in but it was worked out. I had read that the breakfast was great, however, we are vegetarians so i thought we wouldn't get to eat. When we entered the dining area we talked with the owners who make all the food themselves. They were able to make our order vegetarian. It was the most amazing breakfast ever. The blueberry crumble muffins and the breakfast burritos were unbelievable.

This is a very quaint older motel with a true feel of New Mexico. We stayed in the king suite with a fireplace. The staff was attentive. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Overall, a very enjoyable stay. The morning southwest breakfast is included and delicious. The two people who prepare the breakfast are wonderful. Ernesto the owner was top notch! There was a bit of a snafu with a broken propane line during our stay, causing the b&b to be sans hot water. But honestly, it was fine. With such a relaxing atmosphere, stunning scenery, and quaint eclectic accommodations, who even needs hot water?! He prepared a wonderful breakfast that was traditional for the area-the mexican hot chocolate is to die for! We stayed in the larger suite at the La Dona Luz Inn. The artwork in the suite and the breakfast room is fantastic - lots of real southwestern art and some native crafts, not normal big hotel prints. This suite has roof access with a hot tub. Sunset on the roof is a great place for happy hour and star gazing. The owner was super helpful and friendly. The only warning is there are a lot of steep stairs so don't get this room if you have mobility issues!
