Close to Rte 85

Pros: Close proximity to the highway. Staff was pleasant.

We stayed at this hotel last year and it was a much better experience. The first night our heat did not work and the rug was soaking wet all around the AC unit. The second night there was a wedding and many were staying on our floor. They were loud and partying in the hall outside our door until 5 AM. I finally called the front desk when the music started blaring outside our door ! When I complained the next morning they told me that the police came during the wee hours to "look for someone" among the wedding guests ! I knew I had heard their walkie/talkie. HOW can they NOT have heard this all when we were on the first floor same as the front desk ???? We will NEVER stay at that hotel again. Also the lack of cleaning by the house keeper was minor compared to everything else.

Horrible 3-day stay

1) The room would not maintain any temperature that it was set to. 2) The heater would make a loud noise every time it shut off. 3) The room next door was extremely loud after midnight, and again very early in the morning. 4) The food on-site is NOT edible. I ordered one of their Fall Specials, baked brie. Baked brie should be very soft, but in this case it was so hard that I broke a tooth and was in excruciating pain for days. 5) The person working the front desk never asked how my stay was, so this hotel clearly could care less about the guest experience. I stay in hotels all the time, and upon checkout I'm always asked how my stay was. 6) Despite the fact I provided a valid credit card and photo ID upon check-in, the hotel manager interrupted me while heading back to my room, after I received my food order (take out). She demanded that I provide her with my credit card (again), because they "forgot to run it" upon check-in. It would have been nice to enjoy a meal while it was hot, but now I had to wait several minutes for them to figure out a credit card issue with their system. It's a good thing there is another hotel immediately nearby, so everyone has other hotel options besides Courtyard by Marriott Charlotte Gastonia

Thought my stay would be MUCH better than it was!!

Pros: The best part of my stay was the young lady working the front desk..wish i would of got her name..but you got lucky when you hired her. She was very helpful & very frendly.
Cons: My room sucked bad. The toilet would not stop running..even when i giggled the handle. The worst part was the air conditioner controller on the wall was broke. I could not sleep due to how hot the room got. My husband & I have stayed at alot of Marriott's but this time was the worst ever. Now we are very unsure of staying or moving onto another different place to lay our heads.

Nice Hotel

I'm very picky when it comes to hotels but this place was very clean and quiet. The room is amazing and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were very nice and professional.. I would definitely stay here again

Close to places to eat...walking distance

Nice place to stay, Had a home feel to it. A lot of parking space. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Great location! A few restaurants are in walking distance right across the street if you don't want to eat at the hotel. A mall is located less than a mile away and Charlotte is about 20-30 minutes away. To get anywhere else, you only have to drive about five minutes to get there. It is very easy to navigate around the area.

Hallways smelled like cigarette smoke as if smell was coming thru ventilation. Our first room had an overwhelming smell of bleach. It was very sickening. They moved us to a room on another floor which was much better. The next morning we were awakened by hammering from renovations on floor below. Overall the hotel was nice but I can say I have had much better stays elsewhere. The best thing was the dual showerhead. It was amazing.

Very Accommodating Staff

Originally booked to visit a family Member that was gravely ill the individual Passed away before our reservation date the Hotel changed our reservation upon request and without additional cost very accommodating. Needless to Say I am now booking to attend the funeral and will definitely be Staying here.
