“The staff were helpful and the room was excellent - clean, well furnished, with good courtesy tray, easy to operate TV, an excellent shower in the bathroom. The only slight criticism was of the very limited choice of breakfast cereals - just rice krispies and coco-pops. Please offer muesli, Weetabix, shredded wheat etc. for those of us who prefer something more grown-up and fibrous !”

“The room was clean overall; dusty fan amd extremely bad smell in the balcony (I don't know if it is from hotel or from nearby area). That really made the stay unpleasant. Our room was extremely dated and photographs shown on expedia didn't capture our room. It has very old looking furtinuture and textured ceiling. No Air conditioning but the fan was pretty good. I saw some people sleep with the door of the balcony open but I wasn't sure about safety. Pool was clean - time was restricted to……

We really enjoyed the food at the memorial, as well as our evening meal. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable. I would recommend The Black Horse to anyone visiting Climping or the surrounding area.”

“We had a lovely weekend at Arden House. Lucie organised everything with so much attention to detail and care that being there felt like a cosy home. We even received a welcome card and chocolate Easter eggs every time the room was cleaned. The location was also great, just a five-minute walk from the castle. The rooms were spotlessly clean. “Stayed here over the bank holiday as a family of 4. The hotel itself is nice and the outside space is green and relaxing. However, we were given a very hot top-floor room during 28°C weather, with no air conditioning and windows that barely opened. The fan provided did not help and none of us could sleep. This room really should not have been given to a family in such hot weather in the first place. At 2am we had to ask for another room, which meant moving tired children in the middle of the……

“Room was clean and tidy, bathroom was spacious (in previous occasions I've been assigned smaller bathrooms in which it was difficult to get in/out of the bath). Very quiet room even though it's next to the main road. I'd like it more if they provided the usual hotel amenities in the room (e.g. a bath cap). Breakfast is quite nice, a continental and full English buffet. Overall, I like the place.”
