"There was nobody at the desk when we arrived for check-in. Multiple bell-rings, knocking on the staff door, walking the length of the hotel inside, and then the circumference of the hotel outside yielded zero staff members. It wasn't until I was circling back around the hotel that my partner came outside and said someone finally showed up at the front desk. Absolutely ridiculous. The room (room 112 iirc, it was first floor) had a dead lamp, moldy artwork in the bathroom, and a TV with an unsynchronized remote (on/off didn't work, channel/volume messed up, had to use the controls on the back of the TV). And unfortunately there were sugar ants all over the counter by the coffee machine at breakfast. It's a bed to sleep in, but that's about it."

"Everything was perfect. It was home away from home. Lacking nothing . The views were amazing and so cozy. The Host went out of their way to be extra nice. Even filling the fridge with milk, orange juice, eggs and snacks. I would book again and suggest anyone who is staying in Mathews to do the same. Thank you so much. "

"We had a lovely weekend stay at this inviting cozy cottage. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck and enjoying the views. The beach was perfect for wading and given more time I would have gone swimming. My husband enjoyed kayaking in the surrounding waters. The quiet island atmosphere was just what we wanted and we will return."
