Deluxe Inn

Posted Nov 2, 2016
I booked smoking and the room wasnt available upon arrival. The lights were unplugged, vent in restroom didnt work, there was nasty spit in the sink, showerhead was very small, only 1 large towel and there was a strange smell for the room to be non-smoking.

The staff were excellent. However, accommodations need some attention.

Bed Bugs and Bad Management Practices

Posted Jun 29, 2016 on Hotels
Had rented a room from this motel and placed a student driver for a night before we got back on the road. I get a call about 3 hours later saying that my student was getting bites from the bed. I advised him to have the hotel change his room. But instead of the hotel doing so they changed the sheets. After going down there to ask them why they didn't change the room they advised that they wanted to inspect the room first and wanted to know why it took him so long to report it. Had only been about 4 hours since check in. I advised the hotel that after we got him into the room I dropped him off at the local Wal-Mart. So all in all the student had been in the room approximately 2 hours. After looking at the mattress myself there was evidence of bed bug infestation due to black spots in random places. I asked for the hotel just to change his room or issue a refund. Both were refused I asked the woman if she knew the signs of bed bug infestation and never would answer me. Told the woman just to keep my money and walked out. Room 125. Never in my life would I have expected to be disrespected by a local business. I have reported this issue to the City of Cleburne Health Department.

Pros: Leaving
Cons: Very dirty
when i made my reservations, i was told the day i check to tell the clerk I am eligible for a corporate discount. The rude man that checked me in said NO!! The first night there (Saturday night 4/28/12), two bugs were killed in the bathroom. The two dead bugs were never cleaned up from the room as of the day I checked out. When I made the reservations it was for 4 people. There were only 2 towels for all of us to use. The corners were so gross with dirt and lint. The sheets were torn and dingy. The remote control to the tv had a battery back that did not even fit onto the remote. The toilet paper dispenser was coming out of the wall and it was full of lint and dirt. Some of the lights in the room did not work. One of the bed spreads had a big red stain.

The room was warm and comfortable. If I ever need a place to stay in Cleburne again I will stay there.
