9.2/10 Wonderful! (268 reviews)
American solo. The resort is paradise. Secure. Effort to be handicap friendly. I had a 3rd-floor room by the entrance. Walls are thin, so guests should be mindful to be quiet.
*My only issue is that breakfast is only 6-9am local time. This means forcing oneself to eat during sleeping hours until jet lag can adjust. Don't buy the bed & breakfast package if you're like me and need (or want) to sleep in. It IS vacation after all! Save funds for a la carte meals.
*Courteous staff, taxis at gate for travel, clean and spacious room and balcony in working order. Fun animation planning (aerobics, volleyball, etc.), excursions, live entertainment, on-site museum and shopping, small gym, and small spa.
*Monkeys do roam the site, so keep food to restaurant area.
*Constant breeze off Indian Ocean is divine. Bar service on the lawn and at poolside. Swing bar. Outdoor shower. At beach, see Tembo for glass boat, take camel ride, get massage, buy local crafts, save pocket change for acrobatic kids seeking tips.
