Conklin Gully Tours

In general we liked this hotel, it was historic, well maintained and the bed and amenities were very good. However there was no hand soap in the bathroom so we had to step inside the shower to get soap to wash our hands and there was a half filled Sprite bottle behind the luggage bench.However, our biggest issue was with breakfast . We went into the dining room and ordered breakfast 9:05 and told the staff we had 10 am tickets so Martin House which is about 8 minutes to away and we were all packed to we thought we had plenty of time. At 9:25 we still had no food and would be late even if the food did arrive. We told them to cancel the order and left although there was no one at the front desk at prime checkout time. I like the hotel and wish it well but not sure if I would stay there again.

The Roycroft Inn is unique and provides a respite place with history. The restaurant had excellent food that is part of the Inn. The Roycroft campus across the street is very interesting and worth a walk through and tour. The Inn has an incredible collection of arts and craft furniture in the main rooms as well as the sleeping rooms. Overall the property could use a refresh, new carpet and painting and a scrubbing. The bones of the places are great, but the interiors are tired.
