“First of all, the pool was “closed til further notice” which was a bummer for the kids. Then, the hallway leading to our room scared me. I thought we were staying in a dump. The carpet was stained all over and looked super disgusting and partial paint fix ups on the wall. But, luckily, once we got into the room, it was very nice. Clean, well-kept. I felt very comfortable once in the room. The lobby area was also very nice. The complimentary breakfast was delicious with lots of options and the……

“Our room looked like it was never vacuumed. The door never fully closed unless you slammed it. There was a stain on the comforter. We never got towels for the next day. Overall the entire building needs undated. Ripped carpet, dirty floors”

“Check in process not so good — had to wait over 10 minutes for someone to show up that apparently was on the property in a different location. Breakfast not so good or appetizing.”

“This is not your typical hotel stay, so when I say everything was well maintained, service was good, etc, it accounts for the fact it is a very old home with some original or era appropriate things (such as old doornobs which my daughter commented on), and that it is a true B&B so it is their home and they have lives and it is not a standard hotel setting (they had a hair dryer, just not in every bathroom). “Bed are on a metal base and when you sit or lay on the bed they make a loud banging sound like bending sheet metal. Had to change rooms twice. Front desk person was very underatanging and went out of his way to help.”
