“This is a quaint almost like a boarding house but very VERY far from Acadia. The hour plus drive was torture on really bad roads and locals doing 85 on 45 roads with twists and curves. Really tough at night and coming back from the park. Do not book if you want proximity to Bar Harbor. The breakfast is overpriced and the serving staff overwhelmed. There are no options and the nearest place to get food is miles away. They offer pizza on Monday for $35 which is ridiculous. There is no fridge or...

“Carol and Carl thought of everything! The inn was an old Victorian, thoughtfully decorated in Victorian charm. It had two veranda‘s which my husband and I enjoyed sitting on. Our room,the Emerald room, had a separate door that took us right out to the rear veranda where we ate breakfast, had picnic lunches, and beverages at night. “The house and the staff were amazing! The home was beautiful and in a great location regarding park access. The staff was so very accommodating, and even let me check in a little early. If you’re considering staying in an inn, remember that the walls are thinner than a regular hotel. You’re basically sharing a home with others, depending on how many rooms are in the house. Overall, great stay and I would definitely recommend and go back myself.”
