"The property is wonderful and the host very accommodating. The property is within a 5-8 minutes drive to 4 supermarkets and 15 minutes to the walls of Lucca.
We were in Tuscany when the temperature reached 39C but the house was very comfortable with air-conditioning in all the bedrooms and high ceilings, marble floors and large screened windows throughout.
There were few things that were worth noting. There was no cupboard space for provisions. The kitchen had two fridges and freezers so it was necessary to use one for food stuffs.
The kitchen is not really set up for cooking for 8 people. Whilst there is enough crockery and cutlery the number of useful pots and pans were lacking. (There were plenty of other items)
The host arranged for a local chef to come and cook when we didn’t feel like going out.
Altogether a great experience but be prepared to take things in your stride. "

Let us leave our luggage after checking out.
Air conditioning worked well and our room was clean and tidy.
We definitely didn’t have any bad smells that others have mentioned.
Breakfast was also very good.

"We had such a wonderful stay at Hôtel La Fiancée Du Pirate, it was hard to leave. Charlotte and Fabrice were incredible hosts, and we feel we gained two new friends during our stay.
Our flight from the states to France was delayed over a full day, and when we finally arrived exhausted and hungry, Fabrice had fresh water waiting for us, and then he personally walked us to a local restaurant where we had the best pizza of our trip.
We were treated to Chef Charlotte's made-to-order eggs every morning, they were a delicious way to start the day. Our hosts patiently took the time to help us navigate the local bus system, to make daily plans, and to find a good driving route when it was time for us to leave.
Our room was spacious, well-appointed, and very comfortable for our family of four. As I said, it was hard to leave when our stay came to end, and we hope to visit again soon!"

"We were in Monaco for 2 nights and this hotel was perfect! It was clean and roomy and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The hotel is very close to the train station and more importantly close to the elevators that go down to the marina and the escalators that go to the train station. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again!"
" I was not sure when we booked, but what a surprise! AWESOME place, here is why: Quiet property located across the way from the Train Station, that many utilize. Buffet Breakfast is loaded with selections. We also want to commend Huda and Ibrahim. Huda was instrumental in explaining train routes to us and getting us tickets and very helpful behind the desk. Ibrahim on the other hand help us arranged our departure taxi early morning for a smooth transition. Both of them work as a receptionist.
The room is on a smaller size but functional for our stay. Restaurants and grocery stores are close by...oh and the beach is just less than 15mins away by foot."

"The house is nice, the terrace wonderful, and the setting superb. The eight minute walk from the road and the four minute walk to the beach were more than justified by the amazing setting and having a beach all or nearly to ourselves in the mornings and with modest numbers of people the rest of the day. Benoit is a wonderful host. We would be thrilled to visit again."
