“A few issues with the room number 006, they have multiple pads on the wall and near the beds for switching off lights etc maybe could have been doing with an explanation of some of the functions, 1 of the lights wouldn't switch off and had to get a staff member to come and see it, the solution was to switch all lights off at the fuse box in the room and switch it back on in the morning, 1 of the lights in the bathroom was flickering and the shower has 3 settings bath, overhead and a shower pole……

“Easy check in with large spacious car park at rear. Very comfy bed and good quality linen. Only 1 chair in room when there was room for a 2nd - I hate having to sit on a bed in a hotel room. Nice clean bathroom, with big fluffy towels. Luggage rack and large wardrobe space. Iron and ironing board, plus hairdryer. No usb sockets, but plenty of 3-pin sockets. Our room was in the basement but was very quiet, and we slept well. Little box of treats in room and a kettle with tea, coffee and……

“No hangers in wardrobe. Friends who were staying have us some of theirs. Broken window blind lying on floor in room. Both these things reported right away . Asked for change of room but hotel full due to a coach party being in. Employee couldn’t repair blind as fitting broken. Used the throw blanket from bottom of bed to cover window . Disappointing. As blanket thin an outside lights shining in . ”

“The lady on reception who seemed to always be there (!) was so friendly and welcoming, The room smelt so clean when you opened the door, it was large and really comfortable. The room had everything you needed included a complimentary mini bar with water and some beers. The ensuite had an excellent shower and big towels. When checking out we asked if there was another Dakota hotel at our next stop but unfortunately not!! Highly recommend and will go back.”
