Enjoy life "By the Sea" in this affordable, pet-friendly, two-bedroom, two-bath condo located in the desirable Chateau La Mer neighborhood, and just a short walk to our own private expanse of the crystal white sands and shimmering emerald surf of Destin's famous beach. The spacious open-concept living/dining area features a vaulted ceiling with large glass doors, leading to a furnished outdoor balcony. Pets Allowed. Up to 2 dogs 50lbs or less. Pet fee is $100.00 per pet. No Cats Allowed.

The condo we stayed in was older but had been updated and was nice. I prefer to have more used/older furniture since i have younger children and a pet so its less likely for them to hurt it. There was no washer/dryer in the unit and you had to pay to use theirs this was a big negative for us. It was a short walk to the beach and even closer one for the pool.

Good location
We booked this at the last minute and we’re pleased we found it. Very few places allow pets so this was important to us. The negatives are it is an older property that does need some updates, but we were renting, not buying the unit so that was not as important. It is quiet and spacious. There wasn’t a pitcher for tea, so I bought one and left for other guests to use. Captain Dave’s is across the street and Kenny D’s is steps away. All in all, it is older, but worked for us!

The place is dated. Very upset overall. The water pressure was bad..water leaks from the ceiling...bed falling off the rails...foul smell...webbs hanging from the ceiling...no parking at night....it's overall a bad choice and would not recommend. Sheets stained and bathroom was not clean upon arrival. Called 1800 number several times and always got after hours people for emergency center. Very old and not great vacation place. Very unfortunate and very unhappy.

This was our first time in the Panhandle, needed some warm time!! It was our bad luck that the temperature in Destin was the same as Pittsburgh for several days!! It worked out well for us and our dog, the weather wasn't perfect but it was a nice property (a table on the porch would be nice), close to the beach as promised, used the on-site laundry (a change machine or a change to a card system would be nice), worked from the property several days and the WiFi was good. Couldn't figure out the external speakers, the remotes wouldn't raise the volume, and the curtains in the bedroom wouldn't close all the way. Minor fixes we worked our way through. We did report our toaster was broken, it was replaced that day. Thank you.
