“The beach view is beautiful! The rooms are dated. The outside is made of wood and are dirty. The faucets in the room have lime scale and not properly clean. The room has a smell. The towels were not clean. Received a towel with a red stain on it. The sliding doors did not all lock. Balconies were dirty and old. Can't get to your room without bringing sand with you. The property needs a renovation and more lighting. Electricity went out and the backup generator was very loud in the middle of the……

“If you want incredible scuba diving with the on site dive shop run by Turquoise Divers you can do boat and shore dives on spectacular walls and reefs. Although a bit remote on a quiet part of the island, it is very secure and they offer all sorts of excursions by boat and bus. There is a calm cove for swimming and snorkeling, nice pools and very family friendly. Food is fine and the drinks are cold. Entertainment nightly, although it can be cheezy but fun! They do offer very reasonable airport……

“What a great spot! I have stayed at several places in Roatan and this is by far one of the best! Super clean! The staff is super attentive and super friendly! Never once did they make me feel like me and my partners were unwanted! Such a lovely spot and super private! 10/10 would recommend!”

“Good portions at breakfast. Wish they offered a half serving! Herby’s sports Bar had good food too. Nice pool. Our room was small and a bit dated. Would’ve been nice to have a small bar fridge in the room. Front desk staff was very welcoming and it was an easy check in. ”

“Our stay at La Placita was perfect. Staff were so kind and they all felt like family by the time our stay was over. Kemberly and Michael at the front desk are the best! Breakfast was made to order and always very good. Edward was our waiter most mornings for breakfast and he was fantastic! Our room and beds were very comfortable and clean. We will definitely stay at La Placita the next time we come back to Roatan!”
