“Very helpful, friendly staff and thought had been taken with the room facilities with a large fan added in the bedroom for use if needed during the current heatwave. This is in a historic building so some squeaky floors, as can be expected in a building of this age. The food was very good, both breakfast and the evening meals. Good atmosphere and convenient walking distance uphill to the railway and bus station.”

“Great place to stay and very friendly staff”

“We had a really nice room with a view of the estuary. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good but we ate dinner at the hotel on the first night and the main course was poor quality. There is no lounge, just a couple of settees in the bar area. There are 2 nice lawn areas to sit out but only with chairs and tables. It would have been nice if they had provided cushions and parasols as the weather was hot.”
