We stayed at Tulia for 5 days following a safari. The resort was amazing but the best part was the staff. They did everything they possibly could to make our stay the best it could be. They were the friendliest, happiest people we have come across in our travels. The food was outstanding, with plenty of options. We arrived for our honeymoon and it was simply a dream! This was my first hotel in Zanzibar and I would return in heartbeat to stay longer. The aesthetic was relaxing, the owners were present and enjoyable to visit with. The food was DELICIOUS!! It was quiet, peaceful, and comfortable. The waters are somewhat shallow on the beach in the morning and then rise as the day continues. Be sure and wear water sandals or footwear with a hard sole. The hotel has a very quiet and enjoyable beachfront. The property is spacious so you don't feel that there are other guests. The buildings are very well maintained and the food is godd and reasonably priced. The bungalows are not air conditioned so it might get a bit warm during the very humid months (April and May). Overall a great stay. Definitely recommended !

When you book a hotel you always read reviews with a pinch of salt. This hotel has fantastic reviews and with good reason. Everything from the welcome to our departure was absolutely first class without exception. A few members of staff deserve a special mention - Bernard, Mtoto, Nema and Baracka all helped make our stay extra special. The staff in general are exceptional including the kitchen staff who turn out superb food time after time and catered to my wife’s vegetarian requirements...

Deluxe Apartment Sea Facing- 10/10. Clean. Great size. Quiet. Excellent view. First floor, so avoided noisy neighbours above us. Decent, but small safe. A/C worked well. Bathroom - 10/10. Clean. Very friendly staff settled in a beautiful surrounding. Great pool, and everything is so clean. We felt really looked after. How ever, it said in various sites that there is a beach here, it is, maybe 25 sq meter in total, but with no acces to the sea, there is a very large ref.

We were coming from a safari and staying over nite. It was wonderful but the hotel car was really expensive for extra excursions...

Everything was over the top. The villa was spacious and so comfortable. Food was excellent. The spa is amazing. The best staff and service.

Stayed here for one week and enjoyed it. The hotel is on a fairly busy beach in Stone Town. Breakfast was excellent, dinners were sometimes good and sometimes not but the salad bar was great. It is safe to walk around Stone Town with plenty of restaurants, souvenir shops, fruits and spices for sale. There is a nice ice cream store right across from the hotel and although most places take US$ there is a money exchange very close by (on the other side of the building tunnel with good rates). You...
