"This place oozes charm. The manager/owner speaks impeccable English. We particularly enjoyed meeting Mimi, the incredibly friendly cat who (with a wee bit of canine assistance) diligently patrols the yard."

"We spent there a long weekend in May. It was very clean, the breakfast on time and the owners very friendly and helpful."

"Helt fantastiskt på alla sätt, trevliga ägare, ljuvligt rum med supergod mat "

"The family room we booked was not available due to a delay on the update however the hotel contacted me to offer 2 double rooms at a good rate"

"dreadful condition of room, not clean, broken plaster and wood."

"Very friendly staff, beds were great, the food was good, we enjoyed it very much"

"A gem of a find on route from Calais to the South of France. Superb hosts and a beautifully restored hunting lodge. We will definitely visit again."

"Chambre très agréable et bien équipée. Merci pour le café du matin lorsque l’on doit partir de bonne heure, bouilloire en chambre avec thé et café. Pas de bruits la nuit c’est confortable. Le seul bémol est qu’il n’y a pas la clim, nous avons eu très chaud malgré le ventilateur. Cette canicule est exceptionnelle et la clim ne se justifie peut être pas en été habituellement d’où son absence. Mis à part ça tout était parfait !"

"Beautiful place. The owner is very nice and helpful."

"I loved this hotel!!! The room was beautiful and spacious. The restaurant was amazing! The courses were delightful, the cheeses were amazing and the wine was delicious. I would love to come back here again."

"Superb stay, great location, comfy bed, spotlessly clean. I would definately recommend Le Lys Ecossais and will be back again to stay in the not to distant future."

"I had a very relaxing and comfortable time in the Auberge and the staff were always very attentive."

"Very pleasant stay with a lovely host. Very comfortable and the bolangerie being next door was fabulous. We visited Sancerre and had a lovely wine tasting experience with Eric Louis and it was amazing. Also a lovely swimming lake about 30 minutes away. A lovely cool pool on site too"
