"The resort was okay. Lots of pools for the kids, nice arcade and nice walking paths. Took advantage of the big swan paddle boats. The resort itself was a maze. Very difficult to navigate. The rooms were large but could use a bit more updating. Overall it was pleasant and we beat the spring break crowd which was perfect!!"

"We had an stress-free stay at The New Yorker during a non-rush period. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the city near Penn Station, Madison Square Garden, and a short walk to Times Square. It is an ideal spot for walking to major attractions or catching a subway anywhere in the city. Our room was consistently cleaned on a daily basis, and the housekeeping staff did a good job. The reception desk staff were friendly, professional, and attentive to any concerns we had. However, be aware that the hotel is "old school" and you have to pay for basic amenities, including a fee to store bags after checkout. Despite this, the convenience and safety, especially with security at the elevators, make it a great option."

"Clean & Comfortable beds. That's where compliments end. Check in process was a small nightmare but better than the parking (at times triple charged for it). The check-in kiosks have issues and only 2 people on floor to assist. Water was shut off in room without notification for at least a half hour. Grey sludge came out of faucets after water came back on. Front desk initial response was ' everyone knows you can't drink the water, it's on the state website'. Had to press her to send maintenance up to witness the grey goo coming out of faucets which she suggested was probably 'just chemicals' ??? (We were brushing teeth when water was shut off. Brushed with overpriced bottled water after). Lady quickly retracted statement about it was possibly chemicals coming out of the faucet when we asked what kind of chemicals then tried to tell us that we're putting words in her mouth. I would most definitely not stay at Excalibur again. In the casino if you need any kind of liquid to stay hydrated it's best to bring your own. I did notice two waitresses but rarely did I see them in the areas away from the tables. Cleaning staff does keep the areas around the machines nice and tidy. Resort fees are added when you check in and it may say that in small print when you make reservation Just about anything you eat at Excalibur will cost you $25 whether it's a burger or hot dog or Chinese food, etc. Long steep ramp to enter & exit Excalibur. There ARE a FEW nice employees, hope you get lucky!"
