“A little bit showing it’s age and therefor shabby. Bits of wood falling off in the kitchen, sofa springs at the end of their life, fuse box buzzing annoyingly, water pressure low. But then there were things that were just poor. Poor design, thoughtless. Like TVs that are rediculously high on the wall, mirrors that are too low, shower doors so big so that its a pain to get in and out of the bath, blackout curtains that don’t actually blackout because they have been mounted poorly and let in……

“The heat was out and we weren’t notified until we were already in the place and only because I asked how to turn the heater up. There was only hot water on the day we arrived, although the owner came and checked the boiler and said it was working. No hot water so unable to shower for two nights. No window covering in the living room. The third bed was described as a futon/couch. It was barely sleep able. Not enough extra blankets with the heat being out. It was walking distance to a bunch of……

“La communication avec John a été très facile. La maison est très belle, bien agencé et il ne manque rien. Un arrêt de bus en face de la maison, qui vous permet de laisser la voiture devant la maison (emplacement faisant partie de la maison et donc gratuit). Toutes les visites de la ville peuvent être faites en bus depuis la maison. Les chambres sont très spacieuse, très belles salle de bain. La cuisine est aussi très grande. Sans oublier le calme la nuit. Donc un très bon logement pour profiter……

“Overall the apartment itself was good but our stay was hampered by several unacceptable issues. The apartment was fairly nice and in a good location - walking distance to nearby hotspots. However, we experienced several issues below. While the host communicated some of these issues (and some were likely resulting from building maintenance), it does not excuse the fact that they negatively impacted our stay.
