"This is a small, family-run hotel. The setting is a little rustic, but so is all of Rapa Nui. The room was perfect for one or two people. It is a 15 min walk to the town. There is ample parking for cars. It is quiet (except for a few chickens -- island life). The owner picked me up at the airport, and drove me back a few days later. A safe, clean, reliable place to stay at a good price."

"We had a wonderful stay on Easter Island. Our hostess was lovely and checked with us by Whatsapp every day to see if we needed anything. Our plane was delayed and she was happy to let us stay on a little longer. The appartment had a lovely, peaceful balcony next to banana trees and avocado plants and was within walking distances of restaurants and the coast where we could snorkel with turtles. If we lived nearer we would be back every year!"

"One thing I really liked about this place was it’s literally walking distance from the airport, about two blocks away. The transfer company had my flight wrong so didn’t show up, and I really wanted to get to the hotel to use the pool, so I walked, and it was fine. Great location and property--beautiful courtyard!

"So happy with our stay at Hare Nua. Maria and Sebastian were excellent. We loved our breakfast each morning! We were there during July, a cooler month, so too cool for swimming but the pool was beautiful and looked very inviting! The entire courtyard was enchanting and we loved having coffee on the front porch area of the lobby. The location was walkable to several places so we did not rent a car. Lots of good restaurants nearby--the pizzeria in particular had great service and food, as did Aringa Ora. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Easter Island!"

Beautiful hotel run by a welcoming family

"We had a wonderful stay at Hare Rapa Nui by Chez Joseph! We were welcomed on arrival with flower leis and fresh guava juice. The family went out of their way to make us comfortable and to help us with travel arrangements, tours, recommendations, and transportation. Jonathan arranged an unforgettable tour for us of the National Park and helped us navigate travel plans. Breakfast was set up for us every morning and we had full access to a beautiful patio with a view of the ocean from the tables. The hotel grounds are gorgeous with tropical flowers and banana trees, and the rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed. I wish we could have stayed longer - we definitely hope to return!"

"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, I was greeted at the airport and also dropped off, the staff were friendly, the check in process was easy, the location was close to town but not busy, all my questions were answered and I felt very comfortable and safe. Marcelo is a great host. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to the Island."
