Top Rano Raraku Hotel Reviews

Hare Nua

Hare Nua

10/10 Excellent
"My wife wrote this review as she loved the place so much. But I share her enthusiasm: The staff was really good, it felt like coming home to grandma’s house, as it is true to its name: Grandma’s house, where you are treated with kindness and love. The place has a family feeling. You can see the photos of the family in the main reception area. Maria and Javiera greeted us with warmth and explained the history of the house. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. As they only serve breakfast at Hare Nua, Maria recommended places to eat on the island and her recommendations did not disappoint. Oh! Talking about breakfast, it was amazing! Different food & fresh juices everyday. It was so perfect that it was the highlight of my day. The room was spacious and there was a balcony to sit outside. There is also a mezzanine lounge area where my husband and I could spend some time relaxing with a book. There is a lovely garden as well with a pool & jacuzzi. All in all it was a lovely hotel and if it was not so far away for us it would be our place to stay regularly!! We also booked an excursion with them and it was one of the best excursions we have had in our travels - the knowledgeable & engaging guide Vai clearly loves her island and has many stories about its people. If you are looking for a great place to stay while visiting this lovely island we highly recommend the Hare Nua. See pictures of bananas growing in the garden, the sea-view from our balcony & moái-shaped butter!"

10/10 Excellent
"The Best Hotel Experience of My Life - Truly Exceptional Hospitality! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My stay at Hotel Ohana was nothing short of unforgettable, and it is hands down the best hotel I have ever stayed in. From the moment I arrived in Rapa Nui, the experience was seamless, starting with their prompt airport pickup. The absolute highlight of the hotel is the incredible staff, especially Valentina. She welcomed me with a beautiful smile and fluent English, explaining the island map and hotel operations perfectly before helping me to my room. Her level of hospitality is truly exceptional. She even served me at dinner, where I had a fantastic fresh ceviche and a delicious banana dessert. The daily breakfast is fabulous—a massive, fresh spread of fruits, yogurts, cakes, eggs, and great coffee. They truly make you feel at home. The amenities are incredibly thoughtful: there is always free coffee, tea, and water available in the lobby, a very reasonably priced minibar in the room, and the entire team is available on WhatsApp at almost any moment to help with anything you need. They also partner with Insular for car rentals. The hotel gave me a free ride to pick up the car, and I was able to simply leave it right next to the hotel when I was done. To top it all off, Valentina personally drove me back to the airport on my last day, making the departure totally smooth and stress-free. If you are coming to Rapa Nui, do not look anywhere else. This team is pure magic! Maururu 🗿🏝🫶"

"L’endroit est magnifique et la vue exceptionnelle. Nous avons adoré l’emplacement, l’installation et la décoration. Les détails et les petites attentions font toute la difference et ont rendu notre séjour mémorable. Le seul bémol concerne les excursions offertes. Elles sont assez chères et je recommande de comparer les prix."

"This was a perfect experience for what we wanted. Carla is amazing. Pick up was easy. She arranged a rental for us to use. The lodge was secluded (which we loved and wanted). It was clean and view of the ocean from our window and balcony along with the stars at night beyond perfect. We will stay here every time we visit. "
