"was told that there is no heat. we definitely tested that theory - weather outside in 20's, but totally warm inside. place was very close to everything, and so much cleaner that the last one we rented in Linville. p.s. oven could use a 'little touchup'"

"Stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate a birthday. It was the perfect little cabin for two - quaint and homey furnishings plus a stocked kitchen and a bowl of candy provided by the host! We loved the location right next to the river, and there were plenty of other activities within a short drive. Can't wait to stay there again."

"There was hair in the shower and sink. The shower liners looked dirty and much to long and hanging in the dirty water. Trash was left in the downstairs. There was no toilet paper, trash can liners, or soap for the shower. Multiple obvious mouse traps left the feeling there was a mouse problem that we may encounter- which we did not. "

I would have loved to sit on the deck with a cup of coffee in the morning. The ice maker didn’t work so we had no ice. "Not easy to find, get to. Beautiful place and view; hot tub was wonderful, beds very comfortable, the weather was lovely. The kitchen was clean, well equipped, and cozy. We enjoyed our time together in the cottage. The property could benefit from handrail on lower steps from driveway to upper deck and front door, garlic powder in spice rack, fire extinguisher in a more prominent location in case of fire emergencies."

"This was the perfect place for my husband and I to stay for our Blowing Rock getaway. the location was Perfect - we walked to dinner every night and all around town during the day. Also was close to Blue Ridge Parkway when we decided to venture out further. Bed was comfy, loved that there was an ice maker and the place was so clean."

"My wife, our adult son, and our cocker spaniel stayed here over a weekend. We had an event in Blowing Rock on Saturday and it was super convenient to get in town or to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The house was well stocked and had everything we needed. The Food Lion was minutes away, but we felt like we were in the mountains. It was a bit cold, but we used the outdoor grill and would have enjoyed sitting on the porch during warmer weather. Plenty of seating, a great kitchen table for board games...

"We enjoyed the place -- it is well set up for a mountain stay. Wood is indeed beautiful. Kitchen is great. Appreciated the various apps on the TV. Great location, very quiet except for the nearby construction. We would recommend you not go in cool -- or most definitely cold -- months.
