“I booked a shared room in Jersey City and had a really disappointing experience. The host was rude and unprofessional, and one of the biggest issues was being told after booking that I had to pay an additional $100 cash deposit or $150 if I wanted to pay it online. This was never clearly mentioned in the listing description or explained before I booked, so being asked for extra money afterward felt extremely shady and misleading.
