The panoramic lake views and luxurious spas are just a few highlights of Whakarewarewa. Make a stop by Whakarewarewa: The Living Maori Village or Te Puia New Zealand Maori Arts and Crafts Institute while you're exploring the area.
Though Glenholme might not have many top sights, you can venture to the surrounding area to see attractions like Rotorua Central Mall and Rotorua Night Market.
What we most remenber is the unexpected dinner served to us at night , it was very late and the kitchen was closing but we were starving and were offered a fantastic meal by the smiling owner, whose wife happend to be the chef. The rooms are very comforatbale with a nicely equipped kitchenette.

The rooms were clean and the staff is very polite.
The only issue I experienced was about 3 to 5 minutes of hot water for a shower. Afterwards it would run cold immediately.

The location is very convenient, and the property has been newly renovated. The interior is clean, modern, and stylish. The staff were friendly and even offered us vouchers for local activities, which was a lovely surprise.
There were only two minor drawbacks. First, in our room type, all the bedrooms were upstairs while the only toilet was downstairs, which was a little inconvenient, especially at night. Second, the tea bags provided weren't very fragrant.

Our check-in felt a bit awkward—we were told many (many) times how the property and views are “quite stunning” as we were shown around.
Everything else was very nice. Room had a great view, and we really liked the breakfast (and breakfast staff). Parking on the hill was tricky!

Waterfront BnB with free kayaking and tennis. 10 minutes drive to city center which is nice as it keeps you out of the sulfur smell but still close to everything. Hosts are very nice.
Multiple delivery services can be used for dinner.

People in the hotel was very nice. Hotel is located in the town centre. You can go to bus centre, shopping streets, several sightseeing places within 30 min walking distance.
No glass/cup in the washing room probably due to New Zealand custom. We took a glass out of 3 glasses from kitchin. Next day, only 2 cups remain in the kitchin. Next day only 1 glass remaind in the kitchin. We claimed this when check-out. They explained us that maid puts glasses in the dish washer in the kitchin...

Really helpful owners on site, convenient location for what we wanted to see.
Clean cute place.
Not much in the way of restaurants around, 2 options with funky hours in the office season, but good food when open. VERY small town.

We stayed in the white room with the purple/plum attached bathroom that included a private patio.
This room was like time-traveling into 40s-60s luxury. Beautiful moldings. Gorgeous built-in cabinets and shelving.
The place isn't perfect, but it was impressive. I thoroughly enjoyed the stay, and if you're a fan of mid-century deco, you'll love staying in this room.
