Although the area around the hotel is not nice there is a ferry you can take to Manhattan if you ask not far fr there. The higher you go in beach numbered streets the nicer it gets
A lot of construction in the area
I grew up in NY - Queens - and am very familar with Far Rockawzy. It's a great place to visit and it's right smack by the airport as well. Any negative vommentary in my review had to do primarily with the construction and how it detract from my stay
I was under the impression was close to JFK per the description on CheapTickets site. However, it was a 25 minutes ride.
far rockaway, is cool, easy and breezy
