"Cave B&B. Right at the heart of old Matera city. Driving there is not possible, so either have a small luggage or be ready to drag the luggage through medieval streets. There’s a Maison or Casa Cava that is close to drive by to load and unload the luggages, but still hard to drive to. Just a heads up. The host speaks little English. "Franco’s apartment fit our group’s needs perfectly. It is very clean, well-appointed, and located just outside the Old Town, making for an easy walk to the historical sites, restaurants, and bars. The living room and both bedrooms are large and air conditioned.All three rooms have balconies. Franco is the consummate host, friendly and informative, and he also supplied us with drinks, snacks and cereal. We’d highly recommend Franco’s home away from home!"
