“What a beautiful setting, beautiful gardens and quiet. Close to many gorgeous places but we could have happily just stayed on the property. Generous hosts (Lesley and Johnny). Stairs in the barn are steep and roads narrow but would throughly recommend it ❤️”

“We had a lovely spacious room with a comfortable bed, a bonus was the beautiful views of the river through the wide full height windows. Only downside was the lack of a cooked breakfast which is not available. There isn’t a table in the room so we had to sit on the single chair and blanket box to eat the cereals provided, not ideal when you want to fortify yourself for the SWCP walk. They also didn’t service the room which meant we had to wash the cereal bowls and cups in the bathroom sink……

“Very clean rooms and friendly hosts. It was quite cool in the evenings with heating only on in the mornings and there was no communal lounge area to sit in so we felt we were confined to our bedroom. ”

The hotel looks newly refurbished and it is at 3 minutes walk from the train station, very convenient location.
