“I absolutely loved the location of the hotel. It was right in the heart of the markets and conveniently located near one of the palaces, which made exploring the area very easy. Unfortunately, the room and the way the hotel handled the issues really impacted my stay. The first room I was given had a horrible sewage odor coming from the bathroom. The front desk contacted maintenance, and I was told the issue had been fixed, but the smell was still there. They eventually moved me to another room……

“Overall, I had a nice stay at Sugar Bay Barbados. The property itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and has a relaxing atmosphere. My room was clean, comfortable, and nicely kept, and the staff were generally pleasant and welcoming. There were, however, a few things that kept the experience from being perfect. The biggest disappointment was the beach. The sand had quite a bit of sargassum washed up along the shoreline, and I think the beach could benefit from more frequent cleaning and……

“When I first arrived at the resort I loved all the greenery - the trees it felt like a tropical escape. My room was amazing a junior suite with views of the ocean and inland Barbados. The one glitch was the A/C wasn’t working. I requested a new room and was moved to another building closer to pools and restaurants. The room was comfortable and cool. Everyone I met was polite accommodating and happy to help. I definitely recommend a stay at the Crane if you are looking for a relaxing spot……

“Perfect location, great entertainment, all restaurants were open & food was great! Close to shopping places. Hotel provided free rides to different beaches because of the seaweed. Staff was wondering & my beach front room still had amazing views”

“It is a great property and they have amazing staff. The only thing management has to keep in mind is if they are updating restaurant (Tobius) then they should not book guests. We didn’t get kids room that our son kept asking about. Second thing is they are doing construction so it was very loud. We could not hear ocean sound and only hear loud construction machines sound - which made me feel - why are we staying here”

“Very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Not a party resort. Excellent staff, food was delicious. Small resort , so small pool area and beach but more than enough room to accommodate all the guests without feeling crowded at all. I would return.”
