“Charming cabin with lots of beautiful architectural details. Obvious that while it may have some history it is well loved. Beautiful spot on the creek which makes you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere despite the fact that restaurants & shops are a quick easy walk from the cabin. Very much looking forward to staying here again sometime. Two quick notes regarding food in the area, The Willo Steak house is absolutely worth the 5-10 minute drive. “This little cabin was in an ideal getaway spot close to hiking trails and perfectly situated in the mountains. Be aware that it is a mountain cabin. Everything works, and everything is clean, but it is a rustic. Specifically, there are tricks to getting a hot shower, but don't give up the water heater does work. They just did a whole bunch of improvements, and it made the cabin very comfortable. This is a mountain gem, and I couldn't recommend it more.”

“The cabin was beautiful, quiet, and private, but only a few minutes from downtown Nevada City. It had everything I needed for a weekend getaway in the mountains.”

“Great place to crash if you're visiting the river, 10 minutes from Oregon Creek Park, which is an awesome spot to hit with kids. Pretty sparse surroundings and it's deep in the woods, so it's remote and private. Space itself is set up for 2 people, if you bring more people (wouldn't recommend more than 2 adults, 2 kids) you should bring an air mattress and your own bedding. “Staying at Tara was an amazing experience. Everything was exactly what we were looking for to get away for the weekend! The cabin was spacious, the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals including spices and condiments (except butter), the couch was so comfortable, there were extra blankets, towels, toilet paper and even a first aid kit. “Location is beautiful (the stars are amazing!) and the house is absolutely wonderful. It has everything you need and the vibe is very relaxing and welcoming. We made use of the projector for movie nights which was super fun. One heads up - the master bedroom does not have any curtains, so I recommend eye masks for sleeping! Otherwise, 10/10 excellent and would totally come back! ”
