Excellent family getaway
We recently traveled to this property during our kids' (5 and 7) spring break. We were looking for something relatively close to home (we live near Philly), as we were bringing our newish puppy with us, and for somewhere that would enable all of us to unplug and enjoy some time outdoors. This property was excellent - we arrived Monday evening and only left for breakfast (check out Jubilee Restaurant) Weds, a picnic lunch on the shore of the nearby Gouldsboro State Park (less than 5 min drive), and a pony ride for the kids. My husband loved the sauna and our whole family had fun sitting in the hot tub on the brisk mornings, using the kayaks and canoes on the very calm and safe waterway down the ravine, sitting in the hammock, having lots of camp fires, and generally running around in the woods. There is a group of 7-8 deer that walk through every morning, and they're very calm and unafraid of humans. Inside the house, there were lots of games, some DVD's, and we played endless rounds of fooseball, ping pong, and pool. Be sure to check out the hilarious toilet seat cover in the bathroom that also includes the laundry facilities. Joe was very friendly and communicative throughout. We loved the tiny town/remote nature of the place, and we look forward to coming back.

Great Stay
Great place! Accurate description. It accommodated our group of 12 adults well. We felt like we used the whole house, but were not crowded at all. Lots of great features like fire pit, pool table, and hot tub to keep us busy. Accessibility was a plus! Would stay here again.

Poconos in 2020
So great to finally have first family gathering since lockdown. So enjoyed canoe time. Ample room for all of us to spread out. Day started with meals prepped in well stocked kitchen & ended at night in hot tub. Board games, pool, ping pong in between. Saw so many deer. Happy to have place to come with my 2 dogs. No issues but Joe was in touch just in case & made sure our checkin went well. Would definitely go again to this home. Neighborhood was quiet & took nice long walks.

Lots of Space!
This house was perfect size for the 12 of us! The bathrooms are big and clean. Common areas and kitchen are spacious and comfortable. The house had everything we needed ( The grill was great!) There is no AC and few windows that don't open, so it was HOT HOT HOT during the July heatwave, but the fans helped (they provided some and we brought a few). Our main plan for the trip was to kayak from the property. Luckily we had young strong backs with us to move the 8 kayaks down/up the VERY steep/winding path to the waterfront. A few of us had trouble getting in and out due to the very muddy/mucky launch space and low water level but the fishing was pretty good for the few that ventured way out, or carried their kayaks over the dam. There are a few items that the owners need to attend to (Damp basement, dryer not working properly, windows not working), but they acknowledged it and have plans to fix, so I would stay here again if we venture back down, would love to stay here in the winter with some snow!
