My friends and I recently stayed at the Monastery in Chania, and we have nothing but amazing things to say about our experience.
From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly well taken care of. We arrived at 7:00 a.m. after an extremely early flight, well before check-in time, and the staff graciously welcomed us rather than turning us away. They took our bags, invited us to relax by the pool, and did everything they could to have our rooms ready as soon as possible. After a long journey, this kindness made such a difference.
The complimentary breakfast each morning was some of the best we have ever had at a hotel. Everything was fresh and delicious, with a great variety of options, and the staff were always friendly and attentive.
Housekeeping was also exceptional. Every day we returned to spotless rooms, freshly made beds, and clean towels. I often left my toiletries on the counter while getting ready, and they would always be neatly organized when I came back. It was such a thoughtful touch and showed the attention to detail the staff put into every aspect of the stay.
The hotel itself is beautiful, peaceful, and full of charm, but what truly stood out was the hospitality. Every staff member made us feel welcome and genuinely cared that we had a wonderful experience.
We would absolutely stay at the Monastery again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chania. Thank you to the entire team for making our trip so memorable.
