Would have appreciated a microwave in the room especially as in park dining options are expensive.

Don’t come here expecting to see the canyon from the lodge. You will need to drive or take a shuttle to the visitor center to be on the rim. The room and beds were ok but there are no elevators and the facilities really need an update. The hallway carpets are worn out. The streetlights leading to our building were there but not on so walking back to the room after dark was a little scary. If I were to go back to the canyon I would aim to stay at El Tovar or The Thunderbird simply because you walk out the door and are right on the canyon rim. No idea if their rooms are better or worse but location, location, location!

Negatives 1.The tub/shower drain was very slow. Standing in water during my shower. 2. There was No microwave, and given the crowds at the few restaurants in town, that made it tough. 3. The coffeemaker was on it's just leg. 4. The building numbers are hard to read, especially at night. Positives 1. Room was clean. 2. Bed was comfy. 3. AC worked well and there was a fan-only option.
