Rooms in desperate need of an update. You know that pay for te location at the grand canyon. easey walk to the rim. The rooms themselves are way to expensive for what you get.

We loved Yavapai Lodge and the tavern associated with lodge. The fact that you can see wildlife from your window is wild. The property itself is great! Do the desert view road in the morning, we finished ours by 930! it’s quieter not many ppl on the road or at the viewpoints. Cons: The cafe shop doesn’t open till 630 in the morning. The shuttle buses don’t start running till 7am, but the sunrise happens at 530ish, so be prepared! this is the only compliant we had ; otherwise the entire setup from park entry, to cost of food, to shuttle buses it’s great!!!

The lodge was basic but exactly as expected inside a national park. The rooms were very clean and the staff were friendly. The food at the lodge wasn't great but there's limited choice inside the park. The location is excellent and we have a great stay!
