The overall property might be one of the prettiest around Guatape, HOWEVER I ran into at least 10 different issues in my 2 night stay. Leading up to the trip I tried to confirm my reservation multiple times and wanted to ask questions about the amenities and my guests... it's IMPOSSIBLE to actually speak to ANY human on the property. You only get WhatsApp robot answers. At check in, I found out I owed almost a grand in 'resort fees' due to bringing guests to a 4 BR cabin... obviously I wasn't coming as just 2 people!! I tried to confirm this for weeks and was rejected.
In addition, there were ants all over our bathroom multiple times. Dead cockroaches. Our filtered water didn't work. I had to call to ask for basics like napkins and a blow dryer.
Listen the cabin itself was beautiful, BUT if you stay in a "Luxe Cabin" and not The Brown hotel itself, be prepared to walk either 15 minutes anywhere you want to go to any amenities, or you have to call the staff with the golf carts to pick you up. Those guys were great. Front desk staff was ignorant and rude about there backwards antiquated check-in process and extra fees. They also charged my card wrong at check in, then needed me to come back to the front desk 20 mins later in the middle of CARRYING OUR OWN bags ... to re run the card. Just mistake after mistake. I requested a restaurant credit or something for all the inconvenience and insects in or room but was denied and only given empty apologies.
