The Lion Inn was one of the most charming Inn's I have stayed in. The rooms are charming- you approach yours as if it is your own little cottage. Inside, they are cheerful and bright and have the latest in sleeping accommodations and amenities. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Every member of staff that I dealt with was SO helpful and couldn't do enough to provide a great service. The room was spacious and clean, with lovely finishing touches. The setting is really beautiful - in the middle of the countryside and fields. The breakfast that was included was absolutely delicious.

Great overnight stay for us. Dinner was amazing and so was breakfast. Made our "Favorites" list (only 2/2 in all of the UK).

Perfect location (two minute walk to daughter's house); excellent breakfasts, particularly the porridge; fun pub downstairs, loved a cappella rehearsal.

This was our first night in our UK trip and was arguably the best place we could stay to introduce us to this country. Our room was small but the stone walls and lovely decor made it feel simultaneously rustic and contemporary. The bathroom was well designed and had a wonderful shower that was just what we needed after 15 hours of travel. The bed was a dream, I haven’t slept that well in a long time. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. I appreciated the don’t trust your sat nav signs...

This was an amazing treat! Four sisters coming together from all sides of the globe to have a fun countryside experience! We booked the family suite and it was perfect! From the arrival glass of bubbles to the evening meal and audio house tour - amazing! Wish we had stayed longer!

Super friendly welcome by the hosts. The room was large and comfortable and we really enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the horses. The pub in the village was about a 5 minute drive away and was fantastic.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was lovely and clean. Good location for our trip. Convenient parking.

Just needs to be better signage directing people where to go to check in. Other than that it was a great experience.

This place was amazing. Fresh cooked breakfast, comfortable bed. The staff was amazing and friendly. 5 stars! Our only regret is not staying here longer.

This was a true guesthouse experience. I felt like I was visiting an old friend and was treated with remarkable generosity and kindness. The house is charming and well located. My bedroom was cozy and clean and lovely in every way. Breakfast was delicious especially the fresh fruit bowl.

The matresses weren't great, but other than that it was a fabulous experience.
