“Cooks Flat is a great find in Wrexham! Tranquil, peaceful and beautiful walks on the property. What a treat to stay on a private estate and visit the Victorian kitchen and games room. I appreciated the welcome gifts and hospitality from the hosts too. Would definitely stay again next time I’m in the area.”

“Location closed to Wrexham General and city center. Service are good. That must be my choice in next trip here”

“餐厅食物特别棒！”

“Outstanding property with easy access and great communication beforehand. The place is a joy to stay at set in a beautiful area, well located to amenities, very quiet, no noise or hassle from owners, well equipped internally, good internet, easy parking, comfy bed, great kitchen and bathroom and great value for money. The place is beautiful and a real real gem. I definitely will be back like Arnie once said….”

“Aside from a member of staff called Kane who was exceptionally helpful, our experience for a birthday break was beyond disappointing. We initially stayed at the sister property The Swan in Tarporley where staff were outstanding but at The Lion we were greeted in what can only be described as very patronising, unwelcoming and brusque, by who we understand to be Beth. We were shown to a room that was classed as executive but had clearly had a major leak in the bathroom as paint was peeling away……

“bed was lovely and quite firm, which I liked.”

“Extremely spacious and well equipped with one exception, given the unusually warm weather—no AC, some fans, and no screens on windows that do open. The garden has a knockout location right on the river and some rooms also have this gorgeous view, including the huge bathroom with freestanding tub. There are however a lot of stairs. Kitchen is on lowest floor. Entry and dining and parlor are on street level, and there is no bathroom on that floor. So it’s a trek from kitchen to loo. The top floor……

“Perfect location (two minute walk to daughter's house); excellent breakfasts, particularly the porridge; fun pub downstairs, loved a cappella rehearsal.”

“Wonderful ”

“Clean and tidy overall. Staff are attentive and professional. However, rooms facing the carpark were noisy overnight. I need asking for changing my room to the other side of the hotel.”

“The family room was good and comfortable with such reasonable price. it was feeling free to stay here as most of the thing were self served, such as breskfast and using the kitchen to cook! The city was beautiful and we enjoy stay here very much.”

“Well equipped in peaceful rural setting. Very handy for Broughton shopping park. Good bus service into Chester and surrounding areas. Will certainly return there.”
