We really enjoyed our stay at Happy Trails West (1 night) and Happy Trails B&B (1 night). We had great views facing the west in both our rooms but getting to enjoy the sunset from our balcony at HTW was especially lovely. HTW is a newer property and our room had a few extra amenities (chair & table, handy coat hooks). The B&B had a large common area (with kitchen access! - I think that was OK ; ) and offered a delicious made to order breakfast. Both properties are 2-story.
We had minimal interaction with staff which was mostly fine but it did take me a bit to figure out wifi access (at HYW there's a handy QR code on the building outside) and how to get into HTB&B. We were pretty baked from hiking all day - I'm sure all would have unfolded smoothly had I been more relaxed in our discoveries. In the end, we got or found answers to all our questions.
We will definitely hope to stay at HP again next time we are near Tropic!
Everything upon arrival was exactly as advertised. Bed was very comfortable with quality bedding. Checkout was easy, with no surprises. Bonus of five inches of snow on checkout day made for a winter wonderland!
Loved our stay here! Outdoor kitties were a plus in our book! Clean, comfortable, stylish room in a great location. Owners extremely kind and accommodating. Thanks for the awesome breakfast!
Great property to stay while at Bryce Canyon. Great location and management. The view looking to the West is Mountains! And the night sky is full of Stars!
When we couldn't stay inside Bryce Canyon Park, we looked for alternate accommodations outside the park and the town of Tropic was the best choice. It was a quick 10 miles to the park. This place fit our needs but we were in Unit #3 and there were stairs to the second floor. This is fine for us but maybe not for others. The room was cozy and clean with a small balcony. A couple of restaurant options closeby.
Great option for visiting Bryce Canyon National Park. Very clean. Comfortable bed & pillows. Balcony has a great view and lets in a wonderful breeze.
Mini-fridge was convenient to have.
Nicely appointed room. New, fresh, and clean.
Located in a neighborhood and quite a distance from Bryce Canyon National Park. Coffee maker would have been nice since no restaurants/shops within walking distance.
Clean, well appointed guest room. Would have been nice to have a way to make coffee in the room in the morning. Would also have been nice to have ice in the refrigerator/freezer in the room. Other than that it was a comfortable bed and quiet place to spend the night.
The room itself was nice, clean, newly renovated and there was a lot of attention to details to make the stay comfortable. Unfortunately the property was located in a less than appealing neighborhood. Didn’t feel unsafe. Just wasn’t what we expected for the price.
No service for three nights. Uncomfortable pillows.Virtually no amenities (not even kleenexes and plastic cups). Surly staff. Very poor value for nearly 300$ a night!
The room was very well appointed but got warm in the upper level room. Even using the fan it was warm. Would have left the patio door open but the screen was torn so worried insects might come through.
