We really enjoyed our stay at Happy Trails West (1 night) and Happy Trails B&B (1 night). We had great views facing the west in both our rooms but getting to enjoy the sunset from our balcony at HTW was especially lovely. HTW is a newer property and our room had a few extra amenities (chair & table, handy coat hooks). The B&B had a large common area (with kitchen access! - I think that was OK ; ) and offered a delicious made to order breakfast. Both properties are 2-story. We had minimal interaction with staff which was mostly fine but it did take me a bit to figure out wifi access (at HYW there's a handy QR code on the building outside) and how to get into HTB&B. We were pretty baked from hiking all day - I'm sure all would have unfolded smoothly had I been more relaxed in our discoveries. In the end, we got or found answers to all our questions. We will definitely hope to stay at HP again next time we are near Tropic!

2 night stay near Bryce had everything we needed

When we couldn't stay inside Bryce Canyon Park, we looked for alternate accommodations outside the park and the town of Tropic was the best choice. It was a quick 10 miles to the park. This place fit our needs but we were in Unit #3 and there were stairs to the second floor. This is fine for us but maybe not for others. The room was cozy and clean with a small balcony. A couple of restaurant options closeby.

The room was very well appointed but got warm in the upper level room. Even using the fan it was warm. Would have left the patio door open but the screen was torn so worried insects might come through.
