“We love saying at HIE. The facility is always really clean, staff is always more than willing to help or get what you need and rooms are comfortable. We come to town at least 4 times a year because we have family that lives in the area. This time I was a little disappointed because there are a couple hotels in the area that compete and this one and one other are the only ones in Rockingham that have pools. I made sure before I made the reservation that the pool was operational, and when I called……

“The room was dated but very clean. The check-in process was a little weird. We arrived after 10pm and had to speak to the staff and slide my credit card and driver's license through a bank-like window. I understand the security, but then the entrance door to the hall area where rooms are located was open and did not require you to scan your card to enter. Just a little strange. All in all, it was quiet, very clean and served its purpose for a restful night.”

“I came to stay with my significant other & dog for 1 night. I was displeased to find out that they do not offer queen sized rooms that are pet-friendly, instead they gave us a double bed room (with 2 beds). I am sorry, but I don’t think many couples would be wanting to sleep in separate beds. I also thought the original room they put us in smelled musky & like there was moisture in there. I promptly asked for a queen sized room. I then later found out from property manager that this shouldn’t……

“No breakfast. Very old motel being used to justify immigration status. It does have very bright lights inside and out. Except for the shower the room was comfortable and tidy. I had to buy pillows. Rowdy workers sharing rooms and partying into the night. Water must be shared because it was either scalding or freezing. I stayed because of the price and will never do so again. Stick with the “Chain” style of place. ”
