“I loved everything about this place!”

“The room had a terrible smell that was unbearable to tolerate more than a few minutes without making us feel sick. Additionally the doorknob fell off as soon as we entered so we were unable to lock it and felt unsafe. We checked out immediately and explained our issues to the host but he was unwilling to give us a refund. I am not one to leave negative reviews but I feel like others should be warned about how terrible this property is. The two “excellent” reviews that I was relying on must have……

“Let’s start with a positive, the location is literally a two minute walk to the beach and Deerfield Beach is a beautiful and clean beach, unlike this property. There are literally piles of trash in the back “green space”, it doesn’t get better inside, spider webs, ants, palmetto bugs (a polite Florida term for cockroaches), stained bleach towels and I could go on but won’t. The most disappointing, believe it or not is while we had hot water in the kitchen sink and bath, THERE IS NO HOT WATER……

“When I arrived at the original property listed on my Vrbo app, it was already occupied. I was shocked, embarrassed, and concerned to find strangers inside the unit I had reserved weeks in advance.The replacement property was just as bad. All the water had a urine-colored tint, visible in the sinks. The shower had no door, and water flooded the bathroom floor with no proper drainage. Sinks drained slowly and backed up, making cleanup impossible.Wi-Fi didn’t work upon arrival, delaying important……
