Nice Stay Close to Ski Resorts
Nice home very central to a fair amount of ski resorts in Tahoe—Homewood, Palisades, Northstar. Clean home with reasonably stocked kitchen and super clean hot tub. For folks without snow tires coming in during the snow season be wary that the plows only come in the morning so you may come to a street/driveway that's covered in snow.

Great neighborhood
Great neighborhood. Nice house. Just right size for our family. King bed was good, but other two mattresses need an upgrade. One with noisy mattress protector - yuck! We would have started laundry, but no detergent.

Dog friendly but…
We rented this property bec it was dog friendly. However, this property had poor housekeeping, wet sheets on all beds, wet towels in the dryer, dishwasher not working, (repaired after several days), no potholders, no dish soap, sparse TP, all bedrooms upstairs, only one shared bathroom upstairs. Would not rent again.

Nice House, Hideous Management
Run, run away from Vacasa, who manages this property! The house had not been cleaned when we arrived. Cleaner arrived when we did, at check-in time. We had to wait an hour while she cleaned, and she couldn't do the job she probably would have wished. No time to clean floors, etc. In her haste she left a bag of trash on the front deck. The hot tub was full of leaves and debris; the water was dirty. Vacasa wasn't able to get anyone out to clean it before we left. We had to leave a day early due to a family member's illness. We let Vacasa know and asked for check-out instructions. The agent told us to be out by 10am. We had paid for that day AND the day after, so why 10am? She doubled down and insisted, so we scrambled and got out. Even Vacasa later said that was a mistake. Beware the washer - it doesn't work properly, so get guidance on the special "re-rinse with wash cycle" procedure. Now.... if this property was managed by another company, you would enjoy a nicely decorated home. The kitchen has all you need. The beds are comfortable. The wifi worked well. And the tv streaming services are plentiful.

Happy in the snow
Family of 5 with 2 teenagers and a 9 year old. We had a great time! The hot tub was a hit. Its at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac with an ample front, side, and back yard. When we were there it was covered with 6ft of snow, which was great for sledding, snowball fights etc. Internet was ok. Read lots of reviews about poor wifi. It wasnt terrible.

Mice and Bears
The photos made this property look a little more upscale than it actually was. After I booked it and paid for it, we got an email talking about the bear activity in the area which was a bit disconcerting, anti-bear wires on the doors, claw marks on the garbage bin. And then, we weren't there an hour, when a mouse came out in the kitchen. I know this is the woods but I wish the listing had been a little more upfront about the wildlife and pest activity. Tahoe is beautiful, but I felt uneasy at the house. It didn't help that there wasn't enough dishwashing detergent and no hand soap (only bars of hotel soap).

Dirty and full of bears
Immediately driving up to the property we saw electric wires surrounding the entire home to protect from bears. We have a dog and chose a dog friendly property for a reason, would have been nice to have a serious disclaimer about the danger of bears, especially in dark woods with only cellphone lights. We were trapped in the property at times due to bears being outside. Also, the entire home was dirty. Cobwebs, dead bugs, live bugs, used bandaids/qtips, tons of hair in the beds/on sheets. It was clear a “deep clean” had not occurred in a very long time. This is not only unacceptable in regular times but during a pandemic is just dangerous and inexcusable. We also picked this property because of the hot tub, it was not only locked up but there was no information anywhere about a key or a way to gain access. And finally, zero service and the worst WiFi I have every experienced. If there was a serious injury or emergency we would have no way to call 911.

Not worth the money!
No cell phone service. If you had an emergency no way to call 911. WiFi was very weak and kept losing signal. Trash bins completely full no room for trash. Sent email regarding the problem but no response. This house looks nothing like the pictures on VRBO! Would never rent this place again.

Nice stay
We had a nice stay with only a few suggestions that could make it even better in the future: the carpets upstairs need a bit of a clean; more bath towels would be nice; WiFi is nearly unusable - television as well. However, the hot tub was great, location was nice and the barbecue worked well also. Overall, a very pleasant stay. Thank you.

I recommend opting for another listing.
Cons: 1. Broken hot tub. We booked the listing to enjoy the hot tub since we planned to spend all of our time at the house (as many Tahoe visitors do). The listing was sold with this amenity but no one communicated that the amenity was not available in advance of our trip, making the listing misrepresented and falsely advertised. We spent 1.5 days on the phone (3 phonecalls with Vacasa reps and 1 technician who tried to guide us thru resetting the hot tub, resetting the electrical panels with no luck). They promised to send a tech out to fix it on Day 2 but the tech never came and were not given any status updates. Later on Day 2, after calling them again, we were informed that the property company knew the hot tub had a history of problems and parts were on order for replacement so it would actually not be possible to repair it during our stay. No comparable house was available as an alternative option. We did not appreciate the wild goose chase, misrepresentation and miscommunication. Book at your own risk. 2. The wifi was so weak that we were not able to work remotely or stream anything. Previous reviews have pointed out the bad wifi connection as well. Great if you want to be completely disconnected. Not great if you need to be online for anything. 3. Both bathroom doors didn't lock. 4. Minimum amenities provided. 1 roll of paper towels, few trash bags, and 4 rolls of TP were provided for 6 people for 4 days. No dishwasher pods were provided. Plan to go to shopping or bring your own. Pros: Good location and neighborhood.
