"We had wonderful time at Heron Point home at Smith Mountain Lake. The house is perfectly situated on a beautiful location at SML. The house is exceptionally built and can easily accommodated the 18 family members who shared the house with us. We have used this house about 8 times over the last 8 years and found it to be the perfect place for our family vacation. The owner Rpb Saunders has continued to improve the location with better landscaping, outdoor shower, and many other upgrades over the year. We are already planning to return during the summer of 2027."

"Great property. Lots of fun. Amenities were great. Plenty of room for the 8 of us. Not too toddler friendly so be prepared if you take small children. Only negative was the offside trash dump that was 10 to 15 min away. We made 3 trips. All in all a perfect week."

"We really enjoyed our stay. Very relaxing, quiet neighborhood, lake in back yard. We did kayak on Friday and my son brought his Jon Boat down so we took advantage of the little dock and tied up there when not fishing (Mitchells Point Marina is less than 5 minutes away). House was clean, nicely equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Pots, pans, spices, utensils, 2 grills, plenty of towels, sheets were nice, bed's were comfortable."

"This is our fifth year visiting Smith Mountain Lake and our first staying at this cabin. It was clean, well-stocked, and the floating dock was a huge bonus with the low water levels from the drought! It’s a great spot for some time at the lake."

Even with several days of rain, we still had an amazing time thanks to the thoughtful design and setup of the house.The property was spotless when we arrived, everything was impeccably clean and well-maintained. The abundance of amenities made it feel like home (and then some), and we especially appreciated all the little details that showed how much care went into preparing the house for guests. From the well-equipped kitchen to the comfortable furnishings and extra touches throughout, it was clear the hosts put real thought into making their guests comfortable.Jason and his team were outstanding, incredibly responsive, communicative, and helpful from booking all the way through our departure.
