“When we arrived it felt a bit warm in the lobby. We got to our room and it was 71 in the room after turning the temp down and going to supper the temp had not changed. The lady at the front desk moved us to different room. The temp was 75 in that room, and did not change. We later found out that the a/c was broken in the entire hotel. Apparently it had been broken for a couple of days. The manager continued to rent rooms knowing it was in the 90s during the day. Very poor management and poor……

“I loved the downstairs and the restaurant. I felt the rooms could use better comforters and decoration. It wouldn’t take much to upgrade them aesthetically. The music stage in front of the lake was not pleasant to look at, but it probably helps their business model.”

“Wi-Fi is super poor. My all devices cannot connect with Wi-Fi. ”

“The Grand Colonial is a great choice for a temporary home in the Herkimer area. So rich in American Revolutionary history, the old mansion is an historic relic that is kept up-to-date by its current owners. Mike was our host, and he couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We give it our highest recommendation.”
