Europalace exceeded all expectations. We got a corner lake view room and it was absolutely stunning! The hotel room was spacious, clear and you could tell that the bathrooms had recently been renovated. The location is perfect, and walkable to all the necessary areas around. The only difficult thing is getting to the hotel. If you take the train, just know there is a bus stop that is slightly hidden that will take you to the city center then you will have to walk to the hotel. But, that is just...

Grand Hotel des Lles Borromees is a wonderfully elegant hotel set lakeside with beautiful grounds and gardens. My wife and I extended our stay from 3 to 5 nights - expensive, but well worth it. Where else on earth would be nicer than this? The views from our balcony of the lake and mountains were breathtaking.
It is very meticulously kept up - did I say elegant - and spotless too. In the gorgeous lobby and bar areas we never saw how they did this - cleaning fairies in the middle of the...

My wife and I first visited Grand Hotel Dino several years ago on a tour, and the beautiful images remained with us. We decided to return this July and it was everything we remembered and much more. The hotel is spectacular and the scenery is as well. Hopefully on our next trip up north we will bring our entire family including our grandchildren. We know that they, too, will just love it.

We drove from Munich, Germany for a wedding to Lago Maggiore. Looking for hotels in Stresa, we found out that the prices where not very fair and quite expensive for something nice. Looking through hotels.com we found a brand new hotel which opened only in May 25th and seemed to be very modern and luxusrious with a great value. I would def visit the Hotel again if I visit Laggio Magiore. The staff was very friends and profesional. The hotel rooms are very nice and are in great conditons. Bathroom...

Be careful staying at the Regina Palace - you may be overwhelmed as there is style everywhere you look.
Older building, not too large by modern standards, nice elegant rooms. Just beautiful downstairs areas. Large breakfast room with terrace overlooking the lawns and one main restaurant. Access to Spa and indoor pool included. Outdoor pool among the gardens. One day a guest's 1960 Ferrari parked out the back with the top down - just like that ! One night tango dancing on the hotel...

We were there for a wedding venue. Hotel is lovely although I would not say it’s particularly kid friendly. The beach is very small. Our room was beautiful. The food was quite good. We made a suggestion that they have a ideal list for people who want to spend two or three hours away from the hotel or the region for things to do

Staff is really nice, rooms are a bit smaller and basic but provides all what you need, you enjoy the things rather outside :-) that is why you are in maggiore right ;), I spent just a weekend and it provided us good night sleep with a good breakfast - all you need, juices, italian cofee is a must ofcourse, yogurt, mussli, sweets and breads.
Again the best part of this hotel is the staff, from reception to welcome you even in the late evening, to the staff serving you breakfast.

Extraordinary stay! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome, and the property was simply beautiful. The service was exceptional, and every detail made our stay special. Exceeded our expectations. Daniella in the lounge made our dinner enjoyable! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Parking too!

For most visitors, the best area to stay in Intra is the historical center, particularly around Piazza Ranzoni and the lakeside promenade.
This area is the heart of Intra, characterized by its narrow, cobblestone streets, historic buildings, and direct access to Lake Maggiore. You'll find a concentration of local shops, restaurants, and cafes, making it a convenient and enjoyable place to explore on foot. The ferry terminal, offering connections to other towns on the lake, is also located here.
Couples looking for a romantic and convenient stay will find the historical center ideal. The proximity to the waterfront allows for pleasant evening strolls, and the numerous dining options provide a varied culinary experience.
When is the best time to go to Intra?
The best time to visit Intra is during the shoulder seasons of spring (April to May) and early autumn (September to October). These periods offer pleasant weather and fewer crowds compared to the peak summer months.

It's an excellent time for scenic walks along the lakeside promenade or exploring the botanical gardens on Isola Bella and Isola Madre, which are easily accessible by ferry from Intra. This season is particularly appealing for couples looking for a romantic and relaxed getaway.
Early autumn brings comfortable temperatures and the vibrant colors of changing foliage, creating a picturesque backdrop for your visit. The grape harvest season in the surrounding Piedmont region also offers opportunities for wine tasting tours.
