"The house is beautiful. We enjoyed the pools and walking to the beach front. Having the Marina in the back yard is amazing. The patio was very welcoming. We sat outside and watched the boats coming in and out of the ocean. Love that you have spices we can use and all the kitchen gadgets were very handy. Plenty of plates and cups and in good condition. "It was a great location to be in - service is just a short bus ride to town which is very easily taken from the condo gate - the house was nice but did not expect no running hot water - showers were not what expected - toiletries could have been more available - pool area could have been a bit cleaner - water was usually low and a bit cloudy most days - water was not circulating most days - over all it’s a good place to stay"

"When we first got there things didn't seem to bad. The Host's assistant showed us around and we settled in. Looking around we discovered there were 2 melamine plates to use, an assortment of cutlery, including plasticware. There were no "glass" glasses. Plastic glasses, Sippy cups other plastic cups. Barceló Ixtapa All Inclusive

"The Barcelo is a nice hotel with a good location. The beach is flat, long and very walkable which we enjoyed. It was very busy and there was a lot of trouble finding an empty chaise in the morning. People were leaving their towels on them overnight. The staff were overworked and we felt hurried over our meals. The pool bar was full of the same group of about twenty people who were there all day every day and got louder as the day went on. The young people who organized the activities were great, Zumba, pool aerobics beach volleyball, they did it all. We upgraded to an ocean view room which brought the price up to more than what we felt it was worth. I think if we had gone a different week when it was maybe not so crowded it would had been more enjoyable for us. Overall we had a good week at the Barcelo not a great week."

"We enjoyed our stay. We had a lovely room with two beds, a separate bathroom with tub and a huge balcony. The view from our room was unobstructed. We watched the sunset which was spectacular over Ixtapa Island. The staff was professional and friendly and because the hotel was not full we were able to eat in the lovely Oyster Bar Restaurant several times. We had breakfast in Colores every morning. I am not impressed with the "dog friendly" aspect of the hotel. The nicest seats near the front with the view and air flow are reserved for people with dogs. These people are choosing food from the buffet without washing their hands first. We went our on the sailboat twice for a little tour out in front of the hotel and saw the beaches of Azul Grand and the old Club Med site. There was a Karaoke hour from 9-10 every night followed by disco and dancing which was fun. Overall we spent the week at the hotel by the pool, walking the beach and just relaxing. We would definitely return."

" The staff were really nice and very helpful throughout my stay. Housekeeping was a little unusual, as I had to ask them to come and touch up the room instead of it being done automatically. The shower also doesn’t have a door, so quite a bit of water splashes out and can make a mess in the bathroom. Aside from those minor issues, everything else was perfect. I would definitely recommend this place."
