My first time staying at Aura del Mar and I shall return! Stayed in room 105 which was perfect. 30 seconds from the pool, 45 seconds and you're on Madera Beach. 45 seconds and you're in the lobby and out front on the street. The staff was simply marvelous. Special shout out to Sandy at the lobby bar and Roxy at the reception desk. Francisco needs to stop trying to side-hustle his excursions and adventures. Just take a "No, thank you" and quit asking me if I need to book anything, Francisco. The bartenders and waiters in the restaurant were all great, too. Despite the street being torn up for major maintenance, we were a very short walk to lots of different restaurants and shops. The pool area is hard to beat, never any trouble getting a lounge chair. Same for the beach area, plenty of chairs. The boardwalk is close by and makes for an easy stroll to Playa Principal and plenty of things to see and do. I absolutely loved my visit and will be booking a return trip very soon!

What a gorgeous place to stay! So dreamy in every way. Thank goodness for the air conditioning in the bedroom! We were so grateful for the reprieve from heat/humidity. We visited from Oregon so it was hard to acclimate to the weather but every person was welcoming, professional and really cared about how our trip was going. Wish we had more time there. Wonderful place to stay!

This hotel was outstanding. Exceeded my expectations. Fabulous location and relaxed atmosphere without losing attention to detail needed to run a hotel of this standard. Beach on doorstep, town a short stroll and rooms were very comfortable too. Oh and comfortable balcony to relax on too.

This is my second visit in a row to this place and i love it my only huge issue is the lack of microwave oven iny room. I traveled with a minor and it's a huge problem not to have something to warm up his milk.

From the moment we arrived, we experienced a very congenial staff and knew we had selected a very nice place for our next 2 weeks. The amenities were many: the pool is lovely, many places for enjoying one's afternoon in very comfortable lounges. The staff visits and offers drinks and food service there. The beach below is really clean, and easy access into the water. It's safe and children can enjoy it endlessly. The restaurant serves a nice variety of foods, including room service. We so liked working with the manager, Miguel. He made every effort to make some room changes and we were very pleased. The views are endless. Just beyond our hotel, one can access the walk paths above the beach which can take you into the main town of Zihua or head the opposite direction for other localities above the beach. This city is so environmentally focused and they also make every effort to protect the sealife and birds, etc. We felt very comfortable there, we tried so many different restaurants, many of which were in walking distance. We loved our time there and plan to go again one day !! The last time there was 2009...it was so different with a small population of 15,000...but this city knows how to grow without ruining the environment!!!
