We booked a Deluxe Cabin with Terrace and Desert View through Expedia, but were assigned to Cabin C1 at the edge of the property, facing the campground rather than the desert. We later learned that the cabins in the middle of the property are the ones with the actual desert view, while Expedia guests appear to be assigned to the edge cabins instead. This was not made clear in the Expedia listing, even though the desert view was the main reason we chose this property. The cabin itself was very basic and had a strong, unpleasant odor. We had to keep the windows and doors open overnight. The manager offered two alternative cabins, but both in the middle of the property also faced the campground. We would have happily paid extra for one of the central cabins with the advertised view if this had been communicated clearly at the time of booking. Instead, we paid for a feature we did not receive. If booking through Expedia, confirm in writing which specific cabin you will receive and whether it truly has a desert view.
